This was my second time reading a Hallett novel. It took a minute to get into the story. At first I didn't know what to expect. But as the story progresses the pieces fall into place.
The suspense, the twists! Hallett deceives the readers, and broke the rules (almost) of detective fiction. The ending reminds me of Anthony Horowitz's novel: Moriarty and Agatha Christie's: The Murder of Roger Ackroyd.
After finishing the book, I couldn't get it out of my head.
You simply have to read it to understand the hype. A murder mystery masterpiece!
