Top billing should go to John Cusack. I always believe a great villain does not allow for empathy and he delivers completely. You hate him almost as soon as he appears onscreen. Matthew Mcconaughey was without his usual charm and swagger, and that was perfect for this character. He seemed uncomfortable and unsure at times, while somehow believing wholeheartedly in his cause. Nicole Kidman was beautiful white trash with a vulnerable sexiness that makes you sad for her. I love Zac Efron but his character was the most irritating man-boy ever. David Oyelowo was so sneaky good that you don't know how good until he's gone from the screen. Great performance as always. The film was really good at pulling you in, then pushing you away in disgust. But not far enough that you don't want to know what happens next.

Loved this movie! The acting was superb, the visuals put you in that time and place, not to mention the story wasn't overwhelming. Just enough to keep you on the line, then BAM!! you get hit with a big moment. Bill Skarsgard was phenomenal!!! I was surprised by how good Robert Pattinson was but the entire cast, no matter how small the role was excellent.

Loved it!!! Entertaining, heartfelt, funny, and a great message. I watched it with my 18 month-old niece and my 35 year- old best friend and we all loved it. I, especially loved the way Ferdinand never allowed anyone to change his heart.

Boring and predictable. How can so many supposedly smart people do so many dumb things? And the ending was the worst.
