The ending is just perfect. you finally find someone who is like you. Then you sson find that it could be more. But as soon as you settle down someone takes away the life you couldve had. In Lee's last moments he explains to Maren that he wants her to feed. As his last act of love he wants to get as close as he can get to her even if that means Maren consuming him whole.
