If I spoil anyone’s viewing, I apologise. After loving the whole concept, the acting, the twists, the music and the action of the first 4 seasons I couldn’t wait to see the next. I should have stopped right there. This is a ridiculous mess of recycled footage with no storyline other than a broken one. You can see my rating…that’s being generous. Streaming options have never been better and I’m off hunting better shows.

I can’t stand the way that judges like Melissa will call out a ‘genius desert’ and then Jock will say that…to his taste…”there’s not enough truffle in the ice cream”…even though you could see the truffle shards! His call cancels out the other two views! What’s the point? Save lots of money Channel 10 and eliminate the other two judges. That’s not the only gripe…two straight cooks have been oysters then truffles. Boring contest that eliminates creativity. Imagine constraining Reynold, the magic desserts he created, by forcing this limitation . We would have never seen his gifts to culinary creativity. Just saying…enough of these judges…or is it the producers trying to kill the program? They have succeeded in my case. Very sad.
