Encanto is just truly subpar. It's underwhelming and fits the "I'm different from everyone else and everyone treats me differently" type of plot. It was definitely overhyped and the ratings are way higher than it deserves. Though there are some great qualities such as the vibrancy and colours in the animation(and a few catchy songs...) that is truly all that I have to give these 3 stars on. The plot however was truly strange and leaves many unanswered questions. The movie seems like it's unfinished in a way. Most characters could truly use a personality for a change and the movie is overall lacklustre. I do have to say that I don't get why they would be counter-intuitive and sing a song talking about not talking about Bruno. It just isn't really appealing. I do get that it's a feel-good lighthearted movie but on a critical note, they could have done better.
