Much more of a psychological thriller than a comic book adaptation. So heavy, so good, so well executed, it may just be too good for it's own good. Phoenix's portrayal is eerily convincing. So much so than when you take his prominent scar into consideration, it's as if he was born to portray this role. If I didn't have a problem with clowns after all these IT remakes - and I didn't - I do now.
