This is one of the worst DC animated stories I think I've ever seen story wise. What is the point of this movie? How did Jessica (A girl who is constantly scared, with no willpower) get a Lantern ring to begin with if all she has is fear when she has it? LMFAO. She doesn't charge her ring, which you'd think would mean something to plot but the writers do nothing with it, pointless addition. Okay now some spoilers, bombs are being planted around the city and the entire justice League go out looking for them, while they know the villains are only here looking for Jessica. So they leave Jessica alone with Starboy who cannot remember why hes here because he needs medication to not seem delusional. She gets a telepathic message from one of the villains that only lanterns can hear sheleaves, obviously Batman's not tracking her for some reason. StarBoy doesn't see her leave... Cringe. She takes the villains to Green Lantern HQ? Planet? I'm not sure, she says "Code green" to signal to the Lanterns she's in danger, eventually leading to the deaths of 2 other Lanterns, because she uses her ring to unlock prisoners from their prison before backup arrives.... 🤦‍♂️ It's blatantly obvious what will happen and how the writing will go, they keep talking about "Legendary LimeLight, she's so brave. One of the most legendary Green Lanterns of all time" throughout the film, we know from that dialogue she will have to save the day on her ownneventually. Cringe. There's a moment Tharok the Half Cyborg shoots his lazer arm at Salaaks shield construct, which pushes Salaak backwards and smashes his construct, then when the Big guy with his brain showing did it (Who has a MUCH more powerful lazer) at Jessica her construct stays perfect, she never gets pushed back.... Batman has a fight scene against a guy that can literally fly. He beat him with "pressure points" there's a reason Batman only has 2 fight scenes in this movie and this one here is just complete plot armour bs 🤣, WHY didn't Mano fly above Batman? Why didn't he just grab his Cape while flying? Cringe. Superman and Diana ride in the Batwing instead of flying first so they get ambushed . Then Clark let's himself get bullied around by the big gorilla guy then just decides to stop it and Lazer him randomly? Which KOs him. Not even his purple superpowered lazers. The main big bad Emerald Empress shows up and defeats the whole justice league with her eye, which Jessica allowed her to get, which nearly destroyed the whole solar system, no biggie. But EE in perfect timing sends her ALL POWERFUL eye away just in time for Jessica to show up and save the day. I have no problem with DC adding a character for a movie, but to make the whole movie about this one character that nobody really cares about is cringe, especially when you already have good green Lanterns people already like, they're adding a problematic character for the sake of it, none of the lore makes any sense around her. It's great have a girl boss green Lantern all you want, I really don't care, but at least make her character make sense or have a slight bit more nuance, maybe have her tempted with another ring, because for 70% of the film she has 0 willpower to speak off, she uses her fear to guide her more which is hilarious- they have a ring for that 🤣🤦‍♂️.
