I don’t typically leave movie reviews, but I’m sitting here watching this movie, yet paying more attention to what others are saying about this movie. I even read the plot from wiki so I could see how it ends. I just don’t get it so much of it. Why’d they wait like 50 years to retrieve the gold and Norms body? Why didn’t they use younger actors for the flashback scenes? Paul is so odd to me, I get he likely has PTSD, but his dialogue is strange and random. What was the deal with taking the LAMB people hostage, they had no clue about the gold and didn’t David tell the chick they were there to recover Norman? Like why didn’t they just stick to that story? “We found our friend, we’re going to contact DPAA.” I’ve seen a lot of comments on the inaccuracy of the ages of the old girlfriend and daughter and the use of weapons, so I won’t comment on that. I will say as a Soldier, it annoys me that these Soldiers went into the jungle of Vietnam and not a single one of them were like “hey let’s not forget there was a war here so there’s probably a bunch of UXOs around.” Then they just bury Eddie there and move on like no big deal. I like the story and the actors, but I really think this had the potential to be so much better if there wasn’t weird shifts in scenes and plot holes.
