I absolutely loved the first book and still have a book hangover, 3 days after finishing it! I knew what the ending was in book 2 and if I’m honest, was disappointed. I really wanted Lily to leave Atlas in the past. I wanted her and Ryle to separate and allow time for Ryle to change and grow as a character (unpopular view, I know!) I just felt that by the end of book 1, Ryle’s character had been written in a way which showed his own personal journey and being forced to face up to what he had done and his future, being a father to Emerson.
Book 2 was too straightforward and a little unrealistic. Atlas is totally perfect and Ryle is worse than ever! That’s just not how I think it should end.
PLEASE Colleen could we have a third book which shows Atlas and Lily realising their relationship is more about their shared past pain than as a husband and wife?
I have to add, this story totally gripped me and broke my heart ❤️ It’s been a painful journey but I hope for a third and final book! 🤞
