I just wanna say, this book doesn't even deserve one star, if there was an option to give no stars at all, i would've picked that one.
Let me make this clear, do NOT read this book if you are looking for one that is genuinely interesting as when my form tutor told our form we would be reading any day in form, we would all collectively sigh, and whenever the audio recording was played, most of the class was ASLEEP.
Now, i don't know if this is solely because i did not pay attention to the book whatsoever, but when i did tune into it, it was all the same thing. What i mean by this is EVERY SINGLE CHAPTER is almost identical. The story follows this structure, the kids find something out about the police, the police find out, the police beat them up, and finally the kids get revenge and live happily. Now this structure wouldn't be a problem, but when it happens EVERY SINGLE CHAPTER it gets tiring to listen to that monotone, chopped voice talk about some absolute NONSENSE.
To whoever wrote this book, i simply do not understand how such RUBBISH has managed to win an award. Tell me how most kids in my year group dislike this book, including majority of the teachers. This CANNOT be a coincidence and i am amazed by how one has managed such dislike at all. How is it easier to make a book that nearly the whole population of a school, mind you this is around 1000 people, HATE rather than making a book that is somewhat enjoyable.
Heed my warning, NEVER pick up this book. If you do, you are in for some unexplainable pain and torture. I would even go so far as to say watching grass grow would be MUCH more enjoyable than reading this word vomit.
After reading this book, i shiver at the mention, such thought are so unpleasant to think about.
