This perfect film came at me out of the Amazon byways of recommendations and suggestions, I knew nothing of it, gave it a try and was captivated. It is satisfying, moving, exciting and funny. You can tell it was originally a novel because of the extra fine insight into the characters' reactions, and all the actors, but especially the two core players of the mother and five year old son, do it more than justice. It is set in like two dramatic Acts, one in Room and the other outside of and free from Room... freedom being less than a bed of roses.
