There have been several movies with a theme similar to this going back to the 1960's. Being old I seen them all. This movie by far is the worst. The only positive is it was free.

This was classic Kevin Costner and great. If you gave this a bad review it's premature. You have to see all of the 4 Chapters to really judge how good this series will be. Today our culture looks for instant gratification. You need to realize that as this series goes on you may start connecting the dots of its full story and appreciate chapter 1. My guess is if you are objective and see all 4 chapters you will rate this series very highly. Not every chapter will be your cup of tea so see all 4 over the next few years and then write your review. My bet is as the decades go on this series will be viewed as an epic undertaking and something people will watch for many many years to come. The opening of the western frontier was brutal, violent, and harsh. This series will illustrate that.

Unlike the Marvel movies you can tell who are the good guys and who are the bad guys. To me it was like a Jason Bourne movie in many ways. The action and special effects were great. I suspect they will have a sequel in a year or so.

Best series ever. A drama/comedy with incredible acting, unpredictable events, and will be the gold standard for decades to come.
