Show is great a mix between the books and the video game. Good visual effects, acting and story. The few people that are nit picking and comparing it to other shows built it up in thier own minds as something else. If you go in with an open mind and do not trivialize silly things like hair or speech in a make believe land lol, you will surely enjoy this.
