Sabine Spencer

Great movie, but back in the day when it first came out in Germany, it didn't really have the intended effect. Every girl wanted to be Christiane F. Her clothes and her long red hair were copied everywhere, and not just that. I doubt back then it did much to deter teenagers. It conveyed a sense of the forbidden, a sense of adventure, plus, she survived, so how bad can it be? The film should have focussed more on Babsy, who at 14 years old was the youngest heroin victim in Germany at the time.

could give less than one star, I would. The only saving grace of this movie is Ralph Fiennes superb acting. The movie itself is sooo far fetched with such a bonkers ending. Barely ever have I watched such rubbish
