This movie was absolutely enthralling. It may feel slow and confusing at first - you may think “what is HAPPENING?” But I promise you it is worth it.
This film carries such depth and meaning. It marries concepts that we don’t often think about in daily life, and teaches us valuable lessons.
The actors so passionately, with dedication, displayed the hauntings of another world (really one that everyone chases and is seeking): bliss.
What is reality? From which side are we escaping? What is the method for the madness that surrounds us?
This movie builds compassion and offers just even a glimpse into what an addict’s life could look like - their hallucinations, their inner dialogues, the pawns that get moved around in the narrative their mind bounces between, back and forth, back and forth.
I’m truly so sad that the reviews are not better. I honestly believe that it has to do with how this movie is a labyrinth that makes you really dig deeply into thought. And how it changes pace and catches you off guard. But isn’t that the intentionality and the beauty of it?
It resolves so gracefully, so beautifully. This is one I hope many people take a chance on, and really pause to take the hour and a half to watch, with curiosity and openness toward a real dilemma that so often, we don’t talk about.
