Besides a few gory moments, this movie was absolutely terrible. I don’t get why people hype up “original” movies just for being original. SPOILER ALERT: What was the plot even meant to be? It felt like someone scribbled the idea down in ten minutes after watching that Rick and Morty episode where the kids eat the old lady and thought that could be the entire climax. We never find out why the antagonist does what she does. Is she supposed to be a human, a witch, a demon? What is her motivation? Power? Control? Or is she just bored, like I was while watching? The film never gives us an answer. I honestly thought this one had potential, but it ended up messy, pointless and disappointing. Being original on its own does not make a movie good.
