Woof. This movie is just weird ya’ll. Light spoiler: we are introduced to a little girl who is an important patient to the doctor protagonist, she is promptly induced into a medical coma and then forgotten about for the rest of the movie. That is just the first of many weird, WEIRD, story choices. There’s a tone issue with this movie, with Matt Smith hamming it up and Jared Leto doing his best Batm- I mean, serious brooding rich guy impression. Why does Tyrese Gibson have a bionic arm in the promos but not in the movie? Obviously SOMETHING bad happened in the editing bay for this movie. I couldn’t really explain to you what happened in the dimly lit and desaturated final act. Final thought, why did that character into the post credit scene only get pulled once and not twice like the others? YEESH.
