Maybe the book lends itself to a greater level of increasing intrigue. First episode promising. But thereafter I find the TV dramatisation is not truly believable. A tiny community funded by who? And once again, the diction of some actors is lamentable. The leading detective, and most notably his sidekick, abysmal. Thank you Martin Shaw, Anita Dobson and Juliet Stevenson for giving in lesson in projecting their characters convincingly.
