Stupid and a waste of talent. The story was weak and uninspired with charters that lacked dimension. No one was likable or internally conflicted so what was I watching for what felt like 4 hours... it dragged lacking any twists or plot points to move the story forward. The cinematography wanted to be good but like a film school student it was trite. I wanted to like Sandler’s acting but this was a waste as no one could have saved the script. Eric Bagosian is a wonderful actor who pulls a nice turn as the brother-in-law but he has no good lines and lacks depth where I wanted to but just could not empathize.
