There’s things the film does right for adapting the book, but also things it does wrong. Multiple parts from the book are removed and changed, but there was and still is chance to make a proper adaptation. Maybe some type of miniseries could bring the books of The Giver Series and be faithful to the source material 100%. But that’s just me talking.
