Started off strong, went off the rails. The main character quickly turns unlikable, unbelievable and unbearable.
I don’t know how much agency the actor was given to find where this character was going or if the director/ writers lacked direction. I tried to stick with it. I couldn’t do it after the first few minutes of episode 6. Too bad, because they had something with the other characters.
I feel like I was watching an episode of linked, where the joke was on me and the gag was how long I would go along with this. The reveal after the second episode was a clue that this was going to be an exercise in schlock.
Three stars may be generous, but again given, because the supporting cast seem to be operating on a higher level. The lead or role lacks depth and range. The level of manipulation and subterfuge this character is involved in demands a lot of charisma and likeability, the kind that could hide this level of narcissism, sociopathy and deception.
