Seriously under-rated film. The story has assessed and brought to light so many nuances of trauma, and every actor has played their role perfectly. Must watch.

I believe this movie to be more than the emotional repertoire between shoko and shoya. This is a story of all human beings, of diversity among friends, of growing up and growing, of mental health, and of different pieces of the puzzle fitting together over time. This is a tale for every child to learn from, the essence of the human bond.
