What i found specially interesting in Jalsa was that besides the main track, the movie encompasses multiple contemporary tracks and does justice to them. Domestic servants, disability, divorce, single mother, adolescent dreams, police procdures, even a Russian wife. Acting is superb. Both the protagonists turn in great performances, I think Shefali Shah has done very well. Another feature that stuck me was the scarcity of dialogues. Characters do not speak much, but the story gets conveyed. The main track is off course a quintessential theme in literature, the struggle with one's own conscience. Ending is good. A compelling watch.
