I haven't seen the original but this remake contains numerous shortfalls. The story's potential was locked away because scriptwriting is incredibly weak. Additionally, the directing made it feel like a very low budget film. The lead actor failed to show significant differences between emotions, making the hero seem one dimensional. Prakash rai's performance is outstanding, however even this was not sufficient to salvage the weak points. Overall, this is perhaps best suited for family with young children. I would not recommend for a group of adults
