This was genuinely the worst piece of Jurassic Park media I've seen in my entire life. The advertisements and intro to the movie set it up to have an amazing plot, but the entire movie was just running from dinosaurs and the main character having the revelation "Big pharma bad!" The villain had almost zero impact besides just bringing them to the island and all the deaths felt pointless and pathetic. We also get no insight into the labs, the hybrids, or anything about the actual dinosaurs even though there was so much to explore. I felt like I was reading a crappy fanfiction of Jurassic World. This series means so much to me and I have never felt more disappointed in a franchise. This film was supposed to be Jurassic World's comeback after Dominion, and honestly this movie felt even worse and holds zero importance to the franchise. You could skip this movie and you would miss NOTHING about the series. Camp Cretaceous and Chaos Theory have way more impact on the series and lore. There's also zero logic in the film. Why would a mercenary not think to bring more than one gun on an island of mutant dinosaurs? Why does the raft not pop after being mauled by a T-Rex? Why did they not just use heavy doses of tranquilizers to extract the blood? How is dinosaur blood even necessary for the medication and how did they find that out? What happened to the ship dude's son? There were so many illogical moments and questions to be answered. It felt more like a shitty Godzilla or Alien film rather than a part of the Jurassic Park franchise. Don't bother wasting your money and watching this in theaters.
