I have the XBox NextGen game. My biggest problem with Madden 23 is this was supposed to be the upgraded franchise mode. The major problems with that mode still exist. Like regular Madden, players sometimes run around as if they never played the game before, They act like NO NFL player who would ever be invited to a tryout. The players act like bad high school players. The problem is in pre-season, for example, guys who are 5-year veterans with Awareness scores in the 90s still play like they are learning high school football. It's ridiculous. Also, I had a DB with 88 speed just run down Hardman. With the new throwing mechanic to better control passing so that we can throw receivers open, Josh Allen -- not some rookie sub with a 50 rating, but Josh Allen -- just threw it about 10 yards BEHIND Diggs, literally throwing the opposite direction from where Diggs was running. Nothing about the ratings and the players makes sense. I'm in the most realistic mode. EA is so focused on Ultimate Team that they don't fix the fundamental issue that the players don't behave as real NFL players would. It's as if everything is designed for Arcade mode. Madden will always be disappointing until it becomes what it was when John Madden had influence -- a realistic game. It's just a joke now.
