It’s not a period drama accurate to facts. I must agree that I was lured into it expecting the same, but just an episode into it, it brought back memories of black adder. The show is well written, has well acted parts interspersed with goofy humour. If you watch carefully there are so many subtle parodies of historical movies and dramas that come and go in fleeting moments. An acquired taste, dip your feet and if you dig it, you would want more.
