I wish they would try super-resolution techniques where applicable. I'm referring to the kind that makes the most of authentic raw data, without the assistance of AI. Old films of the area might be improved enough to allow better guestimates of key locations. Obviously, most films will have a certain amount of motion between frames, so one must select the feature of greatest interest and align the frames accordingly. Noise and error tend to average toward zero in films. For coins (using hi-resolution 3D scans), they would average toward a constant value.
