I came out of the cinemas with my friends after watching this film. I felt nothing but the urge to spread the word of its excellent aspects. All of my expectations were met and it was really worth my time.
Firstly, the animation basically lives up to the expectations of those who watched Your Name and Weathering With You earlier, including me. The careful attention to detail throughout the film on certain unimportant objects just tells me that writer-director, Makoto Shinkai, really cares about his films a lot.
Secondly, like most of Shinkai's films, Suzume is able to execute the usual jokes found in his film. A lot of people around me in the cinema hall laughed at the awkward situation and humourous lines delivered. Really.
Lastly, Suzume has a bigger stake greater, which I still appreciate, than Shinkai's two aforementioned films. Nevertheless, it still delivered a compelling plot with remarkable characters moving it in perfect pace. However, I still prefer Your Name in terms of story.
To conclude this review, I highly recommend to anyone, who doesn't have a film in mind to watch, and to the would-be anime fans to check out this film. Plus, don't make this film look underappreciated. It isn't. A lot of seats in front of me are unoccupied.
