Obviously these live action remakes are all cash-grabs, but this one crosses too many boundaries to be even remotely acceptable. The CCP and Disney can shove this one up their rear end while they're in bed together, except it looks like it'll just be Disney since China decided it's too politically charged now. Nice one.
