Superb movie.. must watch.. Story line is much stronger than other elements of the movie. Few surprise elements and twists are good. It’s an excellent movie with few shortcomings but overall a must watch. Few slow parts in the first half in attempt to fill the movie, could have been done better. Last scene is not as intense as first part kantara and a bit of disconnects could have been better. May be director was in hurry to release faster. BGM is not at its best (sounds like stage drama) in first half, and expected much better. The scenes around king, palace hall and his gang looks like classic stage drama style.. could have been better.

Just a normal and good movie... serious all the way and not much of entertainment except for swag's.. just nice to watch once ..

It’s a nice movie and surely above the average. Acting, story line and direction is much more better than many Tamil movies.. Kamal has done superbly.. Not sure why it has so many negative reviews..

Confused and contradicting, One sided, sounds Silly, Narrow minded, obviously against certain belief system/caste.. now there will be so many discouraged to take the culinary profession because of directors stupid thought process. Should be banned before such movies spread wrong messages. disturb and spoil the young generation and their thinking. Movie Directors must have strict entry criteria for their jobs.. There are equal opportunities for vegeterians and many veg chefs who can prepare anything without having to taste and enjoy (like the acteess hogging on meat stuff).. Director was trying to pass the message in second half that tasting is really not required, but suddenly wanted to bring religion conflicts of doing prayers etc.. pls grow up.

Must watch blockbuster !! Too good and total entertainer.. Not felt dull moment through out.. Only uncomfortable moments are those bloody violence.. can’t directors make it little less horrible.. pls.. ?

A must watch movie.. it’s such a treat to watch this master piece movie based on the real historical legends like raja raja chola.. hats off and respect to the cast who risen up to their extraordinary talents for portraying the scripts like this… people of India and world look forward for more and more of such great legendary movies.. Great direction ManiRatnam sir.. 👍🏼👍🏼👌👌
