Honeslty, the acting and production can be a wee bit better. But all things considered the show does grab your attention and it possess you just enough to see the next episode.Since it gives a bit of Star Trek vibes i wouldn't be surprised if there is a bit of negativity toward The Orville. If my opinion were to count for anything then, I'd say give it a go... and try not to compare it with pre-existing shows.
