This movie is a spiritual journey of life that is shown through the lense of a rat struggling in his rat life. The story is so much more than just the environment and characters. It's message especially touching and well woven into the story as it slowly builds of these characters and episodic segments with unique characters and an elevated story. The animation might as well be a picasso painting as it is beautiful in every light. The graphics of Marcel have yet to be rivaled even in newer animated movies and older classics. This is the type of movie that larger studios should look at and wonder what they are doing wrong. I highly recommend that everyone not only indulge in this movie, but also engage in and understand the deeper experience inlayed within this masterpiece.
