I just saw this movie and this is actually the first scary movie this year that I’m writing a review of because I loved every second of it. I think this movie scared me so much because I have a fear of people wearing masks, and usually in movies like this or home invasion movies, when the masks are removed, I’m not scared anymore. Wearing masks make movies to me ten times scarier because underneath the masks, you know they’re just ordinary people but with them on, you are unknown of who they are and begin to think they aren’t just like you and I. Like they aren’t human. But with this movie...(Spoiler ahead) the killers started off wearing masks but when they we’re removed, the movie still left me scared and anxious because they killers have some form of modifications to their face which make them still humans but still capable of frightening certain people, in this case a group of teenagers. It was really well made and made me anxious & on the edge of my sleep as soon as they entered the Haunted House.
