While watching Matrix: Ressurecrions I was surprised I didn't get interrupted by pharmaceutical and car dealer ads. The movie lands itself perfectly as a 2nd tier casual watch on Syfy. Was Warner Brothers out of franchises to milk? The movie starts with mocking the original trilogy, then proceeds to try setting high emotional stakes and sprinkle in obligatory fight and chase scenes. There were no original philosophical ideas, no memorable cinematography, no exhilarating fight choreography. I'm glad I watched this movie. It showed what a masterpiece original Matrix was. Perhaps that was the idea.
