Well, they have taken too much of cinematic liberty. Other than that everything is just Top class. Hats off to Sakshi Tanwar, my God she is extraordinary.

To start with Meghna Gulzar has got the art to delicately handle the difficult subjects. I cannot imagine a movie made on such devastating issue is so optimistic. There are no heavy duty emotions or dialogues. Just a weird glance of someone or body language says it all and is enough to make you feel uncomfortable. I must say that Malti is the most powerful role till date by Deepika, she carries the emotions with such finesse. More than half of her face is covered by prosthetics still she conveys the agony so effortlessly. Her despair, agony, woes are so real, her soul is wounded yet she is so zealous. Lawyer Archana Bajaaj played by Madhurjeet Sarghi and Mrs Shiraz played Payal Nair are two very beautiful characters that whenever they are on screen you feel so pleasant and warm. Big applause to the Warriors like Laxmi Agarwal who go through such pain in life and yet find reason live life cheerfully. I came out of the movie theater with teary eyes yet hopeful. Watch it if you really want to watch a good cinema.

Mardaani-2 comes at a time when the country is already terrified by the heinous crimes against women. It feels good when these monsters get punished, at least in a movie. Story about rape is not essentially a new subject but yes, it talks about a rapist who is very young, almost a juvenile. How he challenges a cop and she hits back with full power at the right place. Mardaani-2 does not only talk about rape, it talks about the topics like patriarchy and misogyny. There are few scenes which can be really disturbing. Unfortunately that's the reality now a days. It is only one hour and forty six minutes, which truly works in keeping the story faced paced and gripping. Congratulations to the team for handling this movie with such finesse. Although there are cinematic liberties like antagonist manages to reach everywhere and his every attempt gets succeeded which sometimes irks. But that's the way it is, everything can't be as real, as entertaining as Delhi Crime. Finally, it is a great attempt in portraying current situation.

Bala is one of the finest examples of progressive cinema. It celebrates imperfection be it baldness, darkness of one's skin or dwarfness. It talks about self love, one can't expect others to love him/her unless one loves himself/herself . It emphasises on the fact that how it is so important to accept ourselves than pretending to be something else. It has given a strong message at the same time the first half of the movie is damn hilarious. Second half is not as comical as the first half but it is quite entertaining. Well, Ayushman is fantastic as usual and Yami is fabulous too but Bhumi Pednekar simply took my heart away. Let me predict, its another Superhit movie after Stree by supremely talented Amar Kaushik. ❤️

Whoaaa.... What did I just see? I can't believe!!! I am a hardcore fan of Indian cinema and cannot thank more to Vasan Bala for making such Unconventionally Conventional movie. It's progressive, it's advanced, it's simply non-identical way of story telling. Well, Abhimanyu Dassani (Son of Bhagyashree and Himalaya, seems to be one of the best products of Nepotism) could not get a better launch pad, and he is teriffic. Radhika Madaan, who has acted in some serials and acted in Patakha as well, is totally spectacular. Seriously, I started adoring almost all the characters. They all are so lovely, relatable and palpable. How can I afford to miss the names of Gulshan Devaiyah and Mahesh Manjrekar, again they are stunning. Best thing is that it challenges the patriarchy and chauvinism so beautifully!!! Radhika Madaan popping an i-pill with a symphony in the background is one of the most liberating scenes of Indian Cinema. Lastly, the child who played the role of Surya is so charming that I didn't want Surya to grow up.😁
