Lex Frost

Absolutely terrible film. It cobbles together a rough husk that vaguely resembles the classic book but without any of the soul. If not for Octavia Spencer this film would have been entirely unwatchable but even she couldn’t save the dumpster fire of a script. Hathaway was most disappointing of all, her inability to hold an accent was so painful it was depressing. That coupled with the pathetic excuse for special effects left the film ridiculous rather than scary. Do not waste your time watching this film. The directors ought to apologise to Octavia Spencer for this blight on her career.
