You lost me this season. The last 4 weeks of the show were one ridiculous display of "judging" after another. To set up the absolute most proficient and professional baker to walk off and leave the show is appalling. And then to crown that winner was a joke. This season lost its edge as a real competition. It was obvious the judging was not sincere. Duff and Nancy, the rocks of the judging panel, were nothing like the normal Duff and Nancy. There did not seem to be a cohesiveness to the judging panel that used to be displayed, despite who the 3rd judge would be. Food Network - you need to be doing some quick triage to this show or don't bother with it.

If only more shows could develop characters the way this show did, TV viewing would be in much better shape. There are some criticisms in reviews out there about inaccuracies about some wildlife depicted and medical situations. But, the show is much more than looking for things to criticize. It is great story-telling. Can be very intense. Held my interest from start to finish. Hoping a return of this with a Season 2 and if as well developed as Season 1, then many more seasons after that.
