Let me begin by saying...i really didn't think I'd be giving this series 2 stars but here I am. I had heard about tsitp but never watched it. My cousin suggested that is should give it a try about 2 years ago. I clicked onto the first episode ...10 minutes in and I was pissed off by the majority of the characters. I turned it off Truth be told after entertaining myself so many slice of life kdramas for the past 5 years I hadn't really looked into any American series...maybe that's why I was a bit humphhh. I did come across the 3rd season since it was all over my YT feed and not gonna lie, it intrigued me. I started watching from season3 ep3...I knew the gist of the previous seasons. From snippets alone I had a soft corner for Conrad. When you are going through an internal struggle but everyone expects you to put on a smiley face. To be honest I feel like people are too harsh on him. Its not easy to even tell people how you feel. Its hard to even know ourselves the turmoil going on within. To be in love but at the same time not wanting to be in a relationship with them because you are hurting inside. Anyway I don't want to get sidetracked so I'll get to the point. I was watching the final season for the sole reason that maybe just maybe they'll show what its like to be in Conrad's shoes. When you are trying to heal but are also so vulnerable. When you feel guilty for being in love even after years have passed. Sidenote: PEOPLE SPEND THEIR ENTIRE LIVES BEING IN LOVE WITH A SINGLE PERSON. SOME DON'T EVEN TELL THE OTHER PERSON. YES PEOPLE LIKE THEM EXIST AND ITS NORMAL. It's supposed to be a love story but I feel Belly doesn't care for Conrad like Conrad does for Belly. She always acknowledges how insanely in love with him she was and that she put him on a frigging pedestal. I know she was a teenager in the previous seasons but even in the 3rd season where it feels like she hasn't grown that much. It was all fine up until ep 8 of s3 but then they made Conrad into a Scapegoat. Jeremiah cheated on Belly but Steven seems perfectly fine with it and lives with Jeremiah. But he treats Conrad like absolute shit. Adam all of a sudden became so mature in ep9 like the writing went awry. All the characters have made mistakes but it feels like its always Conrad taking g the brunt of the ones he made. No one seems to be take responsibility for their mistakes and seem fine. While he on the other hand wants to get better but ends up being in a shittier position than anyone else. It makes me mad that people always leave you if you are too emotional and that's why most sensitive people either put up a front or don't meet people at all. why would they. Nobody gets them. At last I just wanna say writing characters properly is very important. People relate to them and yes are influenced by them. You can as much you want that "its not that serious " but it is....that's why the audiences watch something because either means something to them.

Honestly the way soap operas are turning out these days is extremely disappointing and disheartening. Woh to hai albela being one of them. With Bollywood songs being played every two minutes and romance being dramatized in a manner to the point where it becomes intolerable has become the order of the day. Storyline with flimsy characters...truthfully it's hard to ever do a character analysis on them for they change their loyalties like a chameleon. It isn't even entertainment at this point...just a way to raise one's blood pressure. The need to make content consistently 5-6 days a week must be stressful for the writers. But shouldn't someone realise that in this competitiveness "Quality of Content" has deteriorated massively. Even if I get to watch a serial just once a week for half an hour but it provides content that entertains as well as satisfies my curiosity....then that's enough. Think about it....Quality over Quantity.

'Regressive is an understatement.' I want to ask the writers of the show that in this era of equality where girls are getting the opportunities to do what they love, create their own identities, be independent.....why bring up the concept of: 1) Toxic Male lead(Who should be locked up for stalking and threatening) but instead is shown romantic doing all that CREEPY stuff. 2) Even more Toxic In-laws 3) The girl being treated as an object to be owned 4) Showing that to suffer is the epitome of a 'Sanskari Bahu'. If the goal is to make people realise that Women should be treated with respect, it can be done by showing a supportive community and a Progressive Storyline. All I wanna say is this is not Entertainment in any way. Hope you all can bring up Progressive Storylines in the future where people can be inspired and feel good. Isn't that what people look for when they take out time to watch something.
