Such a beautifully made film. So gracefully made, loved every aspect of the story. Men written by women are so refreshing to watch. I couldn’t stop crying for all the disempowered women everywhere. It’s also a major win that this surpassed the pile of hot trash- Animal to be the most streamed on Netflix. Lost hope when animal came out, found hope through Laapataa. I’m eager for more such women-led and directed movies.

Used to watch it as a child but watching again at 24, I never realised how funny it actually is! Love it!

I was a little skeptical to watch it because I’ve seen some brilliant comedies (Peep Show, Fleabag, Derek, The Office)- but this is so refreshing and true to Mindy’s quick wit. Loved it, wish it got more recognition, as she was the genius behind some of the greatest Office episodes.

Shallow, sexist take at feminism, that’s not intersectional, funny or even entertaining. Loud, obnoxious and delusional.

I’ve never laughed this hard, medicine for depression.

Brilliant. Hands-down the funniest show there is. If I die laughing to this show (highly probable), so be it.
