Absolutely adored this movie despite what critics had to say, acting was great and heartfelt, cgi was good, action was beautiful, colorful movie, amazing showcase of Chinese fantasy and I love the power the army had in the movie. Character chemistry was very well done. Plot was easy to follow, simple yet large scale and well executed, I want more movies like this maybe a prequel of sequel of this story. I watched a few bad reviews and someone literally felt the need to bash on the costume designs when it’s a fantasy movie I mean really? The costumes looked beautiful. I was in the mood for some Chinese Fantasy action wusha and Xianxia and I got what I asked for. Absolutely brilliant movie.
