I bought one book for one of my teen girls and right away she wanted to resist reading. We got through the first section and I realized this book would be good for ALL my older kids (I have 6 kids, 4 in the teen/pre-teen age range). Since, I have purchased more books and we do the workbooks as a group and it has changed us as a family and I see them all really thinking, reflecting on what they are reading. It is causing bonding time and also building up their own selves by teaching them how to stand up for themselves when debating. They also have a journal they write in to reflect on what they did in the book and we do other things with the journals now too, such as writing prompts but I never would have started any of this, without first seeing how badly we needed this book. Strongly suggest this book to anyone, no matter what, no matter if you think your child is doing well or not, thriving through school and social skills or not, get this and have them work through it. If nothing else, it tones their self esteem and doesn't hurt them right? You have nothing to lose with this book for your child. I am so happy I invested in this for my children!
