Playing on an Xbox one. The story is one of the best I’ve played through in any game to date. The leveling system is immersive, though a bit overloaded in the beginning. The city just feels so alive. Characters are memorable and feel like they’re extremely wel written and animated. Only 2 problems I really have are that 1.) (And I know this is on me as much as the developers.) the game just doesn’t look as pretty on old gen consoles. Once I’ve upgraded I’m sure this is to change, but on the Xbox one, the game just feels, idk, grainy sometimes? But the screenshots and pictures I see from next gen and pc players are honestly stunning. 2.) The bugs. And I know when this game gets a few patches doled out, things should clean up a bit. But for now, it feels sort of like a day 1 Bethesda game. Ok maybe not that bad. But some visiual bugs, some AI bugs, and a TON of hard crashes. All in all I’d rate it a fantastic experience and I can’t wait to come back to it once I’ve upgraded to a series X. It’s a fantastic RPG and just a great time sink in general. I’m frequently getting lost in the game for hours at a time just exploring new weapons, tech, jobs, and areas. My rating will go up to a 5 as soon as I upgrade to a series X and get to really enjoy the next gen visuals, or the bugs and crashes lighten up a bit. My recommendation is: if you’ve been following the game and are hyped about it, just jump in. Waters a little chilly but you’ll get used to it. If you’re only contemplating it for now, maybe wait a month or so. Let the devs have time to patch some stuff and see how it’s doing later.
