Nathalie’s review:
Okay wow. I actually really loved this movie. The poster and synopsis looked corny as hell but this horror comedy is the perfect film for anyone who wants to watch horror without getting too scared and have a bit of a laugh as well. A perfect satire and homage to teen slasher films, it had all of the typical tropes you’d see in horrors, the virgin who survives, the flashback origin story, the stalking slasher appearing in windows and the power of the The Final Girl! It was brilliant! I loved the visual effects, the camerawork, the music, and the performances of the cast because they really sold their character types down to the T. I especially loved the scenes that Taissa and Malin share together from beginning right to the end of the movie, their final scene together really made me tear up, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to listen to Bette Davis Eyes the same way. Honestly this movie is underrated and I wouldn’t be surprised if it ends up being a cult classic in a few years. An all round fun campy slasher.
