The movie is quite poorly made. The comedy was forced, the acting was sub-par and the story-telling went from bad to worse. The filmmakers had picked a very touchy and important topic, but it all got lost in translation.
On one hand, the movie glorified illegal immigration by showing that the immigrants' families made a lot of money, on the other hand, they are trying to preach patriotism and the importance of staying back in your own country.
Maybe I couldn't connect as much, since I am not from Punjab and unaware of something that was/is a common phenomenon in states where the term "Dunki" originates. Nevertheless, stories should not be restricted to regions and should reach one and all.
The photos at the end of the movie touched me more than the entire movie with a runtime of almost 3 hours.
Being a fan of Hindi cinema, Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani, I was extremely disappointed.
