I loved the storybook idea with the stand alone stories spotlighting different aspects of the “Wild West” linked by a common theme. Great writing, performances, scenery, cinematography, music all combined to provide an utterly absorbing, thought-provoking film which still intrudes in my thoughts the day after viewing. Predominantly male experiences although the two main female characters were well-drawn, the female experience here as elsewhere, remains a rich seam to be mined. A definite would-watch again film.
