Do not let the critical reviews fool you, this is a great watch if you are looking for a film that does not overdo either the action, sci-fi or even political elements. Everything that is introduced are concepts everyone has thought of or at least heard of at one point. It does not go too deep into the AI or Sci-Fi elements which means it does not become convoluted or ridiculous like many of the highly acclaimed films of the era. The action sequences are fantastic but also not exaggerated, mixing violence and thought provocation in an interesting and modern manner. I find much of the critique applicable to and if not more so to many of the popular highly rated films of recent, over done tropes, cliches, of course expect a few but in no way does it take away from the film on the level of so many superhero or battlefield type movies that are released with outdated scenarios and still somehow walk away with 4 or 5 star ratings. The acting is great and the cast selection was well done, if this is the first review you are reading, just stop before you overthink it and give the movie a watch. It's one of the many movies that make me doubt all the critics on IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes.
