This is a very under-rated movie that speaks volumes about our present culture of media consumption and, in a way, basic human nature. Just look at the kind of reality tv shows and popular news channel coverage that are being paraded as prime time entertainment today. Must applaud the writers and director of the movie. Diane Lane does a superb performance as the hard working single mother and the supporting cast is brilliant too.
