The "overacting" and just general casting of Michael Huisman, James U, dom and Jessica Collins is so bad that it's irritating. Their presence takes you out of the scene because there is ZERO emotion delivered behind the words. It's like they glanced at the script and just crip-walked on set or they over-memorized it and read it verbatim. Like, I get anxious when they come on screen or speak. They're so "over scripted" that it removes the emotion and it looks and sounds like they're doing a table read.
The storyline is all over the place and has no cohesion. The things they're doing make zero sense on its face. But take a step back and you'll see they worked with a "skeleton script", they knew where they wanted it to go .hey have the key moments down, but the dialog and unnecessary screentime and cut scenes and b-roll are just puzzling coming from a veteran director. I'd expect this from a high schooler or freshman college kid. I promised I would finish it. But each episode is messing up my perfectly fine day. I am trying y'all. I swear.
The quality of the shots, locations, action scenes, editing, post work, etc. is AMAZING!!!! Give those guys their flowers. But the producers, writers, and directors should've been stopped and made to reshoot half of this and they could've salvaged it.
