Sonny, I've always appreciated your level headed views. So you are the person I can have this difficult conversation with. Your example of indigenous people illustrated in Dr. Suese' books begs me to ask, if there are still indigenous people in the world today who dress shirtless and in grass skirts and loin cloths, can we not celebrate their culture in open conversation with our children. Must we close the conversation? And where do you draw the line on difficult issues? Am I being culturally offensive in discussing Jews wearing a yellow star of David? I'm trying to educate my children and students I teach on the ugly past and need for change. If I remove the ugly past BLM and anti-Semetism has no leg to stand on. How to I talk about the issues of today by ignoring the past? Again, can you explain where to draw the line?
